Social networks such as Twitter have become an important means of expression for common citizens but also for journalists or politics. If the content of messages is rich, other data such as tweet and retweet location still remains barely exploited.
Over the course of a two-week fabrication sprint, Marc Estruch and I created a Raspberry Pi based physical map in order to visualize, in real-time, where people tweet about certain keywords in the United States. The map then enables to find tweeting patterns in domains such as politics or sports.
